Eligibility: Oakland residents only, whose income falls within the Federal Income Guidelines.

Notes:

  • 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month.

  • May come twice a month.

  • Located behind the parsonage of the Oakland-Sidney United Methodist Church. The street address is 20 West School Street.

  • Drive directly to lower parking lot.

  • Distribution will be from tables next to pickup trucks marked for Households of 1 to 3 and Households of 4 or more.

  • DRIVERS: Wait in line in your vehicle. When your turn comes, please give your name and the number of people in your family to the recording volunteer. The volunteer will then direct you to pull forward to the appropriate table based on your family size. Get out of your vehicle, place your box of food into your vehicle, and drive away. If disabled, help will be available to load your vehicle.

  • WALKERS: Wait in the designated waiting area where you must distance yourself from other individuals by at least 6 feet per CDC guidelines. PLEASE BRING BACKPACK, SUITCASE ON WHEELS OR WAGON AS DISTRIBUTION WILL BE HEAVY.

  • If new to the pantry, provide your:
    1. full name,
    2. address,
    3. telephone number, and
    4. family size.

  • Proof of Oakland residence requires:
    1. A Maine Care Card
    2. Current CMP Bill or
    3. A Phone Bill
    4. A copy of your lease

    (Any current bill with your name and address. If you do not have any of the above ID, you may go to the Oakland Town Office and get a note stating you are a resident of Oakland. A driver’s license may not be used for identification.)
